The ISO 45001: Transition course is designed to support organizations and professionals in transitioning existing Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OH&SMS)such as those based on OHSAS 18001 or earlier OH&S frameworksto ISO 45001, the current international standard for occupational health and safety management. ISO 45001 is published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and adopts a risk-based, leadership-driven, and worker-participative approach to managing OH&S risks. This course focuses on gap analysis, transition planning, documentation updates, cultural change, and audit readiness, enabling participants to manage the transition efficiently while maintaining operational continuity and compliance. Course Objectives By the end of this course, participants will be able to: Understand the purpose and scope of ISO 45001 transition activities Identify key differences between OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001 Assess the impact of ISO 45001 requirements on existing OH&SMS Conduct structured OH&SMS gap analyses Develop and implement an ISO 45001 transition plan Update OH&S policies, procedures, and controls Prepare for transition and certification audits
